AT*SQA Advisory Board of Emerging Leaders in Software Testing: Call for Applications

AT*SQA is establishing a global Advisory Board of emerging leaders in software testing. We are seeking software testers who are eager to contribute insights, provide input, and influence the path of software testing education and credentialing.

Why Should You Participate?

  • Recognition: Gain professional visibility as a member of the “AT*SQA Advisory Board.” You will be recognized on the AT*SQA website, in AT*SQA emails, and via a digital logo you can share in your email, LinkedIn, etc. You are also welcome to include your participation as an AT*SQA Advisory Board member in your resume/CV, speaking bio, etc.
  • Impact: Directly contribute to ideas for new AT*SQA micro-credentials and career tools. As an emerging leader, you will help to choose which areas of software quality assurance are recognized globally.
  • Influence: Provide valuable feedback on pre-release versions of new and updated ISTQB and AT*SQA syllabi. You will be among a select group of global experts who can influence the content of ISTQB and AT*SQA bodies of knowledge.

Who Are We Seeking?

  • Practicing software testers with a minimum of 5 years of testing experience.
  • A minimum of ISTQB Foundation Level plus one additional certification (either an ISTQB certification or an AT*SQA micro-credential stack).
  • Emerging leadership as a test lead or higher, or a high level of expertise in software testing.

What Is the Time Commitment?

  • Two brief video calls annually (30–40 minutes each).
  • Occasional email input after reviewing new syllabi, micro-credential ideas, or career tool proposals.

What Is the Compensation?

AT*SQA is a non-profit organization with an unpaid Board of Directors who volunteer their service.

Similar to the Board of Directors, the Advisory Board is composed of volunteers, making this an unpaid position.

Therefore, the primary “compensation” is your recognition as a global leader in the profession of software testing, as well as your ability to help shape the path of software quality globally.

For purposes of evaluation, AT*SQA may, at its discretion, provide free access to the AT*Learn training system and select micro-credential exams for Advisory Board members.

What Is the Advisory Board Structure and Term?

  • Up to 12 members may be selected each year depending on need and renewal interest.
  • A one-year term is standard, although AT*SQA may offer renewal depending upon your interest and the needs of the Advisory Board.

What Are the Advisory Board Member Responsibilities?

  • Agree to AT*SQA’s non-disclosure and ethics policies and rules.
  • Share your ideas for emerging skill areas suitable for micro-credentials as needed.
  • Provide real-world insights into QA career progression and career tools as requested.
  • Offer feedback on portions of new or updated syllabi in a timely manner.

What Is the Application Process?

If global professional recognition interests you, and you are willing to share your ideas and feedback as part of the AT*SQA Advisory Board, please submit the following:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • Current resume or CV.
  • A concise statement outlining your interest in participating.
