Steps for Getting Certified
Create an AT*SQA Account
If you do not have an account with AT*SQA, please create an account.
When creating an account, please do the following:
- Use your full name that is on your ID. We ask you use your full name, because your ID needs to match your account name when taking an exam.
- Add your full address. You will need your address in your account before proceeding to scheduling an exam.
Decide the Exam You Will Be Taking
Are you new to Software Testing Certification?
Are you wanting to take an ISTQB Exam? If yes, you need to first start with the ISTQB Foundation Level Exam.
If you are taking the following exams, you do not need the ISTQB Foundaiton Level
- ASTQB Mobile Tester Exam
- IQBBA Business Analyst Exam
- AT*SQA Testing Essentials Exam
- AT*SQA DevOps Exam
- AT*SQA Testing for IoT and Mobile Exam
Once you have purchased a voucher, your coucher will appear on your main account page.
Vouchers are good to use for one year after purchase. After a year, your voucher will no longer work and you will need to purchase a new one.

Schedule an Exam

Select the option to “Exam Scheduling / Rescheduling / Cancellation”

You will then proceed to Webassessor
- Select “Schedule my Exam”
- Select the exam
- Exams are either “Online” or “Testing Center” exams
- Exams with “Extended Time” in the title are Extended exams for people that English is not their first language.
- Online Exams: Select the dropdown timezone if it is on the page (only countries with multiple timezone have this option). Then select the day and time. On the checkout page, enter your voucher code.
- Testing Center Exams: Select the testing center near you. If there are no testing centers available, then there are not available testing centers in your area. Then select the day and time. On the checkout page, enter your voucher code.
Online Exam Information
If you have scheduled an online exam, you will need to contine with the following steps.
First make sure you have the following items:
A computer with an internal or external camera (note that the instructions mention an external camera, but your built-in, internal camera is acceptable).
A current government-issued photo ID that will be presented to the proctor before the exam starts (your ID will need to match your name in Webassessor).
Software Installation of the program used for the exam.
- Log into your AT*SQA account
- Select "Online Exam Access" from your account page menu
- Proceed to Webassessor
- In Webassessor, select the "Exams" menu item
- Download the Sentinel software and install it
- After the software is installed, select the biometrics link from the same page.
