CTFL in Nigeria: quick answers
Can I take CTFL online from Nigeria? Yes. Select Online Proctored during scheduling and complete the required System Readiness Check before booking your exam slot.
Are physical test centres available? Yes. After you buy a voucher in your AT*SQA account, choose a Nigerian test centre during scheduling. Dates and seats vary by site.
Which language is offered? English. If English is not your first (native) language, you may schedule an “EXT” (extended-time) version for an extra 15 minutes.
What currency is charged? USD. Your bank or card provider may convert to NGN and may apply fees.
How long is my voucher valid? 365 days from purchase. You can reschedule within that period if you follow the reschedule deadlines below.
How long is the CTFL exam and what’s the passing score? 40 multiple-choice questions, 60 minutes (75 minutes with extended time). Passing score is 65% (26/40).
Where do I see my results and certificate? In your AT*SQA account once processing is complete (generally within 24 hours for online exams). AT*SQA also reports to the ISTQB® Successful Candidate Register and adds you to the Official U.S. List™ when eligible.
Can I reschedule or cancel? Yes. Online exams must be changed more than 24 hours before the appointment; testing-center exams must be changed more than 72 hours before. Late changes typically incur a US$90 fee set by the test delivery provider.
Do I need training to sit CTFL? No. Training is optional. Many candidates self-study using official syllabi and sample exams, or take accredited training.
