- Visit My Account > Update My Account and update your name and address

- Enter your full name as it should appear in the NDA and click Continue
- Review the generated NDA, check the box at the bottom and enter your full name as signature.
- Submit the form. You will then see a success message and receive a copy of the signed NDA via email.
-
Arrive at the exam site at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled exam time and introduce yourself to the onsite contact. (In some instances, you may need to arrive earlier to be passed through a security check.)
You will take over the group and begin the exam process paperwork & instructions no later than the scheduled. If the group agrees to begin early, you may do so. Dress is “business casual.”
-
AT*SQA requires that each of its exams be conducted in a secure, private environment, free from distraction. The room must be suitable with adequate lighting, control of noise from outside sources, chairs spaced wide enough apart to avoid any possibility of overlook, and free from interruptions during the exam. As the proctor, your should review the arrangements. You have the authority to alter them to meet AT*SQA’s requirements.
-
Erase any class materials on a whiteboard or hide any notes on a flipchart. Write your name on a whiteboard or flipchart provided in the room. (For papers exams, examinees are asked to write the name of the proctor on their answer sheets and save room to enter an exam form number and exam start and end times.)
Check each examinee:
- For a photo ID that matches the name (a company photo ID is acceptable.)
- If they do not have a photo ID, then at least 2 pieces of non-photo ID can be accepted.
IF THE EXAMINEE IN UNABLE TO PRODUCE IDENTIFICATION, HE OR SHE MAY NOT TAKE THE EXAM, AND MUST LEAVE THE ROOM.
- Read this section to all of the examinees:
“There are no scheduled restroom breaks during the exam. We will have a 5 minute break after I have read through this information, and then we will begin the exam.”
“No materials whatsoever are allowed on the exam desks or tables except the following:
- Your laptop or tablet for taking the exam. (For paper based-exams, you may not have any electronic devices open, and instead you may only have the exam, answer sheet and a writing instrument.)
- A beverage in a non-personal/non-customized container.
- Facial tissues (if necessary, I will inspect the box for notes).
“You may not print, screen capture, photograph, record, save or transmit any portion of the exam information in any way. If you do, you may be subject to criminal prosecution and civil liability for copyright infringement and breach of confidentiality. In addition, your exam will not be graded, and you will forfeit your exam fee."
“There is to be no talking during the exam.”
“When you have completed and submitted your exam, the results will appear on your screen. In consideration of those still taking the exam, please remain silent until after you have exited the exam room.”
“As the proctor, I may answer questions of a procedural nature only.”
“You may only have a single tab open on your browser, with no other open windows. I will observe from the back of the classroom and periodically walk through the room.”
“If I suspect that you have violated any of the above conditions, you will receive one warning. If I need to pause your exam during this time, you will lose the time that the exam was paused.”
“If you persist, I will cancel your exam and escort you to the door. Your exam will not be graded, you will forfeit your exam fee, and you will not be allowed to take another AT*SQA or ASTQB exam for 6 months.”
“A score of 65% of the available points is required to pass the exam.”
“The available time will be shown on your screen. (For paper exams, I will provide time warnings approximately 15 and 10 minutes before the exam is to end.)”
“When you are finished, signal me, and I will confirm that you have completed your exam by checking my proctor controls. You must then exit your browser. (For paper exams, I will collect your exam and answer sheets.) You may not re-enter the room until everyone’s exam has ended.""
"With the exception of the Expert exams, the system usually shows a pass/fail message upon completion. Expert exams will require 2-3 weeks for grading of the essays. (For paper exams, I will scan and upload them, and upon successfully doing so, will write your score on a sheet of paper and give it only to you.) In any case, AT*SQA will send an email confirmation of your results, typically within two business days for most exams. Those who pass will receive a congratulatory email and may log into their AT*SQA account to download a high-resolution PDF of a certificate suitable for printing.
"Your exam results are given only to you. No results will be given by phone, nor will we discuss the exam with you.”
“You may manage your contact information and certifications in your account at the AT*SQA website, atsqa.org. If you pass the exam and wish to appear on the official U.S. List of Certified Testers and the ISTQB Successful Candidate Registry, you must opt in through your account on the AT*SQA website by setting your preferences."
“AT*SQA and ASTQB have Privacy Policies which can be found on their websites. You will receive informational email communications AT*SQA and ASTQB at the email address you have given us. You may opt out at any time.”
“By taking the exam, you are consenting to these policies.”
- This is now a good time to offer a 5-minute restroom break.
- If you have reason to believe that an examinee is cheating during an exam, or if you have reason to believe that an examinee is compromising the integrity of the exam, immediately refer to the above warning procedure and act accordingly.
- In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation of the exam room, you should pause the exams and note the time, as the exam clocks will continue even while the exams are paused (the pause simply stops the exam takers from continuing). Upon re-entering the room and restarting the exam through the Proctor controls, you should add extra time equivalent to the stoppage time. (For paper exams, you will do all of this manually, of course.)
- There are to be no scheduled restroom breaks. In the event an examinee requires an urgent restroom break, the proctor can allow the examinee to leave, but the end time for that exam will not be adjusted. The examinee must leave all items, personal and exam-related, behind, and will forfeit the time gone from the room.
- If you have any questions or concerns please contact AT*SQA at any time using the contact information that was sent to you via email from info@atsqa.org. Do NOT discuss any issues with the instructor or onsite contact.
- Immediately after the exam please share your feedback with us through the online contact form or directly at info@atsqa.org. We would like to know if the exam went well, if the process worked well, and if you have any suggestions or questions.
Above all, use your own common sense and judgment. Our goals here are simple: To preserve the integrity of the exam by keeping examinees from cheating on the exam (likewise, keeping examinees from copying exam questions for possible dissemination to others), and ensuring the confidentiality and impartiality of the exam process.
Thank you for your kind assistance with this exam.
